Ceridian MFA

Ceridian requires Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)

Ceridian MFA will require you to download and install an Authentication App onto your smartphone.

You will have 2 choices of apps:

 1) Authy - Ceridian's preferred app. It is the simplest verification process of the two choices.

  • If you choose this, Ceridian will push a notification to your phone that automatically pops up and you just press "verify" to be let in. It is a short process but require the download of an extra app.

2) Just about any other Authentication app that you might already use.

  • The verification process for these is that you open the app, choose the Ceridian account, get the verification code, and enter in as part of the login process.  This requires a few more steps but you can use an existing authentication app.

How to set them up:

1) Download the authentication app of your choice to your phone

2) Ceridian will ask you which one you want to use and guide you step-by-step through the setup process. The steps to this process are also provided below:

Setting up the Authy App

The Authy App looks like this:

Do not choose the similarly named Authly App.

  1. Log into Ceridian - it will prompt you to use either "Smart Phone App" which is named Authy or any other authenticator app.
  2. Select "Smart Phone App (Recommended)" Authy Smartphone App.
  3. It will ask for your smart phone number
  4. Sends you a text with code to verify it is your phone
  5. Then prompts you to download Authy
  6. Authy app then prompts for your country code and phone number
  7. Asks for your email address as a backup method
  8. Sends verification code to email
  9. Verifies your phone again by sending a code to the phone that Authy recognizes.
  10. Back at the Ceridian login – hit continue
  11. Ceridian sends a Token to the Authy app, take that token and enter it in the Ceridian login page
  12. Done
  13. From now on when you log into Ceridian it will push a notification to your phone which you verify.  There are no codes to enter anywhere.

Setting up other Authenticator Apps

    1) You can use just about any Authentication app and the setups should be similar, these instructions are for using the      Microsoft Authenticator App
    2) Log into Ceridian
   3) When it gives you the choice - choose "Authenticator App Code".
   4) It Brings up a page with all the information you need to either manually add your Ceridian account to your Authenticator App OR you can scan the QR code
   5) On your phone, open the MS Authenticator app.
   6) Choose to add account of type other.
   7) Scan in QR code
   8) The Ceridian account is now added to the App as CeridianUsername
@pacsci (does not say Ceridian)
   9) Gives you a passcode to enter into on the Ceridian login, do that.

Now when logging into Ceridian you will need to open MS authenticator app, select the Ceridian account and    enter the code you see into the Ceridian login screen.
